is what Bob told me as we were in the tub yesterday.
Me: Really? How?
Bob: See? (points at arms) One . . two (points at legs) three . . . four
(Points *between* legs) FIVE! It looks like a leg!
Me: I guess it does.

This life is short. Purpose to spend today wisely; make memories with your family and serve the Lord. The years go by so quickly.
Finished Death DuJour in 2 days — not much else happened today. I liked it and have already requested the next one from the library. It should be waiting for me tomorrow since it’s not checked out.
I finally finished Swallows and Amazons with the boys. The next book in the series is Peter Duck (chronologically, buy publishing date it’s Swallowdale), but we’re going to detour to the next book in the Strictest School in the World series — the boys can’t wait to hear more about Princess Purnah and her attacks with a butter knife.
I won’t start that book until Calvin gets back from his trip to Chicago with Auntie Ginger so I need to find a quick/light read that will entertain Carter and Caleb and that we can finish in about 7 nights. I’ll check our shelves tomorrow and hit the library if nothing fits the bill.
In the meantime I REALLY need to find this crazy quilting book that I checked out from the library. I haven’t seen it in about a week and it’s annoying me. I renewed it again, but I guess I’ll have to resort to cleaning the entire house over the next few days until it turns up. It’s not in any of the usual spots . . . it’s probably hiding under some of my clothes in my bedroom.
I ran 4 miles yesterday — I didn’t run the entire 4, I ran 4 five minute cycles, walked for 3 minutes, then ran 2 more 5 minute cycles including the Farragut hill. Walked from the tree at the top of the hill back to the house as a cool down. The loop was from the house to Del Monte at the bottom of NPS and back. Maybe next time I’ll try running around El Estero. After my few trail runs I’m noticing a few spots of poison oak. 😛
