and . . . we’re done!
The belly that won’t quit from the baby that won’t come
I never expected that I would be . . .
cleaning pee out of my refrigerator at 11:30 at night. Yes, that’s right. Pee. In my refrigerator.
Before bed Bob was coming down with a fever and not feeling good so I tucked him in bed and went to bed. I laid out the sleeping bag next to our bed because I figured he’d be coming in to join us sometime during the night. So a few hours later I’m awake in bed, watching TV and I hear him whimpering. So I stumble down the hallway in the dark and find that he’s not in bed. I peek in the bathroom, no Caleb. I hear noise coming from downstairs. He must be looking for me and doesn’t realize that I’m in bed. So I head downstairs in the dark and see the glow from the open refrigerator door. Caleb is shutting the door and trying to open it again. I ask, “baby, what do you need?” and he mumbles something. I open the door to the fridge thinking his fever might be making him thirsty and I see a huge puddle all over the bottom of my refrigerator, running onto the floor. “It’s just water mama.” Hmmm, nope. It’s not water.
So I send him up to bed and commence with the cleaning.
