Another one bites the dust!

With the kids, finished Caddie Woodlawn. Thinking about starting Anne of Green Gables, not sure yet.

I finished Confessions of a Jane Austen Addict. Wasn’t that impressed with it. I liked Austenland much better. Currently reading Calling Romeo which isn’t an Austen-inspired book (although it is similar to Bridget Jones’ Diary or the Sophie Kinsella books — Brit Chick Lit) and it’s not a one day wonder . . . So now I have to think of a new category designation.

Funny from today

We were noticing Calvin’s freckles from all the time he spends playing outside and Josh said, “I used to have freckles like that . . .” Calvin asked, “What happened? Did they pop off?”

Another new category

Jane Austen Inspired novels:
Me and Mr Darcy — completed

Austenland: in progress

ETA: Ha ha — Austenland now finished!

E(a)TA: Reading Caddie Woodlawn with the boys . . . about 1/2 way through

New category designation

One day wonders — books I finish in 1 day (that don’t fit in other categories.

Completed: Queen of Babble by Meg Cabot
In progress: Me and Mr. Darcy (I started it today and will finish it tonight)

updating the book list

Haven’t read any new books myself (too busy quilting and looking at quilt/embroidery books), but finished read alouds to the kids:
Strictest School in the World
The Princess and Curdie (George MacDonald)
(in progress) Caddie Woodlawn (Carol Ryrie Brink)
